I remember when this game was announced, I was wondering how on Earth was Atari going to manage Shanghai on the tiny screen. But manage they did. The board is contained completely onscreen with tiny tiles that are still recognizable. Move the cursor over a tile to see a nice magnified view in the corner.

There are tons of boards to play, as well as tons of music selection. As a nice feature you can change the music in game, in addition to turning it off, as your mood suits. My only real complaint is I suppose unavoidable, that the game plays much slower than on a PC with a mouse, on account of the fact that you have to move the cursor with the D-pad, which is necessarily slow.

Overall this is a great version of a fantastic puzzle game that is now a classic. It's also cheap to pick up a copy on eBay. I strongly recommend this title for all Lynx owners.
